Most of GenX will be online, but we might have some hybrid events. If you want to attend those, you can request to. But all the content will be online anyway.

Yeah, it’s free! We’ll provide you with all the resources you need to build your product and idea in the competitive event. But your idea might need more resources to launch, which you’ll need to find yourself.

We think it’s good if you have at least some programming skills, if you’re participating individually. The language doesn’t matter, but knowing how to do things like connecting to APIs with programming will be important.

We also recommend creating a ChatGPT account for yourself right now and testing out its free and limited API. If you need guidance on how to create a ChatGPT account, you can ask in the community.

applying as a team is completely okay. only one person needs to apply. let us know in your application the other people on your team.

It depends on you how much time you want to spend. The main competition will be held from August 21 to August 30. You will spend the first 5 days building your idea and the second 5 days releasing it publicly and trying to get users or revenue. You can spend more time at night and on weekends or spend more time. Before the 10-day competition, we will have two workshops and a number of talk shows. Participation in workshops is mandatory, but talk shows are optional and public.

The only requirement for your idea is that it uses generative AI technologies. For example, you can use GPT chat APIs, Midjourney, or other models that are on huggingface. The size, industry, online or offline, or repetitive or innovative nature of the idea does not matter.

These are our recommendations, but they are not mandatory: the more users or revenue you can generate in the second 5 days of the competition, or the more important learnings you have from the market and your users that have great value, the higher your chances of winning. The more you try to make your product available to people and talk about it on social media, the more attractive you will be to us.
